Thanks rolf and Blue Jay, yes there are lovely colours up on the moors now. Darwen Moor is an excellent place to visit, shame you didn't get the chance to explore last time you were up rolf. In fact all the countryside around Bolton, Belmont and Rivington etc is fantastic if you like that kind of landscape. Each Saturday we make a point of walking an eight mile circular route around the moors we have been doing so since september and we still haven't covered all the moors yet.
