Living 10 miles from andy b I also had the fright of my life, I still cannot understand why it was so strong here. I was still awake and was thumped in the back by the settee and having just taken some medication I at first thought wow that was strong then realised the earth had moved..... My wife was shaken in her bed sufficient to wake her and my daughter was on MSN chat to her boyfriend and was surprised by all the stuff on her desk moving around on her desk. I did not even feel the aftershock.
