Equipment: Nothing but my notebook which is one of the most important parts of birding. To go out without it (which I only ever did once) is like going out without your pants on. I've never understood why I responded to the 'Cameras and Equipment' question in this way because in reality I own a Leica Telescope with eyepieces, Zeiss Binoculars, and a Manfrotto Tripod all of which cost a positive fortune.

Default Laughing Gull.

You're the one who brought up the subject of the Laughing Gull Beryl, so this ones for you. Its the one mentioned in the 'Gulls' thread which I saw at Marton Mere in Blackpool. It is remarkably like the Med Gull but has at least two different plumage details which aren't all that apparent.

Its a pretty awful image but a record shot all the same.

Pete.
