Equipment: Nothing but my notebook which is one of the most important parts of birding. To go out without it (which I only ever did once) is like going out without your pants on. I've never understood why I responded to the 'Cameras and Equipment' question in this way because in reality I own a Leica Telescope with eyepieces, Zeiss Binoculars, and a Manfrotto Tripod all of which cost a positive fortune.

Default Never heard of him!

Couldn't possibly offer a prize for guessing who this is, there would be too many takers.

Perhaps we should have a 'Miscellaneous' section Rolf, this Landscape, Building, and Industrial Photography is getting out of hand, probably not least because of my contributions.

Pete.

Not a bad idea Pete, nice photo of a statue of one of my favourite ever comedians.

Will have a look at possible other sections, the site is a work in progress.

Whey-Hey!

"My neighbour asked if he could use my lawnmower and I told him of course he could, so long as he didn't take it out of my garden."

"I always take my wife morning tea in my pyjamas. But is she grateful? No, she says she'd rather have it in a cup."

and my personal favourite (has to be seen in context to really enjoy) :
"I am playing all the right notes, but not necessarily in the right order."

He was great.

Oh yes . The funniest of all I think 'Playing all the right notes, but not necessarily in the right order'.
I have a recording of them on my +box and I still laugh each time I watch it

He also wrote books, and I have 2 - one on fishing (Eric Morecambe on Fishing), and a kiddy one about vampires.
