Beryl.
If ever you see a Teal with a white marking - which runs vertical down the side of the birds breast as opposed to the one running horizontal above the birds flank as in your picture here - then you would be looking at a Green-winged Teal, the American cousin to our Teal. So that's Scaup (not Tufty) and Green-winged Teal (not Teal) you're looking for now Beryl. Interesting, isn't it! Pete. |
