Little Egret with youngster

Captured this Little Egret with her youngster on the Exe estuary.
There were 12 there today and I was wondering why she kept having a stab at some of the others , then I realised she was guarding he offspring. Rather cute (as it goes ) with his matchstick like legs too

There is also an assortment of other Little Egrets doing things here as well.

I was so please to capture the mother and youngster. Not some thing you often see.
