Thread: Robin - Erithacus rubecula ... again!

There were 2 having a root around in the leaf litter, so I'm assuming that they are a pair.. and am hoping that they find my nest box

The second shot isn't great, but I've included it because it's a rare 'upright' pose - they are normally leaning at such a jaunty angle that this one really stood out.

I love when Robins look for worms like that. You can almost 'see' them listening, can't you?

I'm wondering if they might both be males though, as the second one looks as if he is about to hold his head back in order to show his red breast more - a threatening stance?

My comments are rather misleading - although 2 came in together, I only got reasonable shots of the one (so this is the same bird), but you could still be right - the other one kept more hidden so might well have been more likely a female.
