Default hoopoe.

this was one of many hoopoes i saw in fuerteventura. an after tea stroll along the beachfront, turned up this bird, sat preening on a fence, unphased by passers by.
the bigger picture is heavily cropped, so quality is not the best, i'm afraid.
they really are stunning birds, you've got to admit
