Thread: Common terns

Taken Fri afternoon at Lea farm gravel pit. The last one was an ccident. He was on the ground and took off when I took the shot.

I love the second shot with the one on the ground, mouth fully open. I can almost hear it say "In me beak son, in me beak"

They weren't feeding the young but trying to encourage them to fly and then catch their own food

Good luck to them... 'cause the youngsters aren't going to give in easily
