Believe it or not these two where taken with a Digital Camera through the single eyepiece of a pair of binoculars. I've tried this method (in desperation for a pic) before with 'some' success but needs a rock steady hand and is in no sense of the word easy and the end result is by no means state of the art photography.
I've considered the 'flight' image as a 'mystery pic' but this ones so obscure I can't convince myself it would really work. Stonechat by the way. Pete. |

Yes a male Beryl.
You are right it is good fun but I refuse to 'lug' my telescope and tripod (14 lbs whatever that is converted into today's weights) up into the upland/moorland areas I often visit and suffer the consequences of not having the equipment for photography, but I'll have to learn to live with that I'm afraid.
