Lavell's Lake and Dinton Pastures, Berkshire

A general blog relating to Lavell's lake and Dinton Pastures, between reading and Wokingham

  1. Crouching down behind the grass at Lavell's Lake

Took quite a while to capture this bird the other Sunday afternoon at Lavell's Lake, my knees were locking up and it was proving difficult to hold the Bigma lens steady when mounted on the monopod for good shots, but managed a couple of reasonable ones.

  2. Scrape filling with water at Lavell's Lake

Visited the Bittern Hide at Lavell's lake today, glad to see that the pump is now starting to fill the scrape to the right. Was being well used by the Mallards and Moorhens. There were a fair number of Gadwall and Wigeon, the latter being heard before seen.
