Exe Estury

I recently moved house. I swapped my main road flat for a nice penthouse apartment with Exe estuary views.

My work station now is in the recess of my lounge which is a dormer and looks out over the Exe estuary. I can sit here and work on my PC and hear the Wigeon whistling and the Geese honking and glance out of the window to view the estuary

Scrape filling with water at Lavell's Lake

Visited the Bittern Hide at Lavell's lake today, glad to see that the pump is now starting to fill the scrape to the right. Was being well used by the Mallards and Moorhens. There were a fair number of Gadwall and Wigeon, the latter being heard before seen.

Tea time at the Common Tern household
