Equipment: Nothing but my notebook which is one of the most important parts of birding. To go out without it (which I only ever did once) is like going out without your pants on. I've never understood why I responded to the 'Cameras and Equipment' question in this way because in reality I own a Leica Telescope with eyepieces, Zeiss Binoculars, and a Manfrotto Tripod all of which cost a positive fortune.

Equipment: The equipment I use is a Canon 30D with Sigma 50-500mm lens. I also have a garden hide from which I take most of my pictures.

Yes a beautiful image Pete. Is this taken in your garden?

Yes it is Babs, but I must say our 'garden' is probably as far removed as a garden from yours as is possible. I would suggest ours would at best be called a walled garden. We do have some rather 'pretty' things in it, though I must confess nothing to do with me as I just love to admire gardens but no desire to have any other part in its planting or upkeep.

I'm a little worried about Beryls......what sweetheart?

Pete.

Great photo. The surface on that rose looks as smooth as a baby's bottom...
