I'm not sure of it's name it does look like on of the The Blusher - Amanita rubescens . But I could be wrong
The blusher is edible and must be well cooked.I wouldn't fancey eating this.

Also for those that do go fungi hunting I would strongly advise plasic / rubber gloves . some fungi species can be deadly.

LOL, not sure I would be confident enough with an identification to eat any mushroom I'd picked.

No. The detroying Angel (deathcap) is highly toxic . No antedote.just a fraction and you die a horrid slow death so it's not worth picking mushrooms for eating.
One should always where plastic or rubber gloves if touching them.

A puffball - I'd recognise a puffball. Especially once I'd kicked a ripe one

Those can be eaten but must be cooked well . This was on "This morning " Program with Philip Scofield. I wouldn't at one though If not from a shop. I don't eat fungi any way. I react to it.

Now if Gordon the Gopher told me I could eat a Puffball, then that would be OK.

Yes but there are some smaller like puff balls which are poisenous so it's always best to get expert advice.
