google problem

Using Firefox, if you type "Thames Valley Birds" into the address bar it takes you to google. Clicking on the first link goes to an error page

Although the link in google shows only as http://www.thamesvalleybirds.co.uk/

If you type the same into the same into the google search at the right hand side and then click on the magnifying glass it will take you to the Thames Valley Birds forums straight away

I just typed Thames Valley Birds into the url and it came up fine .
On the right hand side of the URL address window is a short search window it comes up fine in there too

I can't enplane any more simply . There are two bar windows at the top.
One is an adress for the URL and one on the right is a search
If you type Thames Valley Birds in either you come up with the page as in your little thingyabove
I'm just saying both work fine when I do it

I have that problem with a link I added to another website (Flickr). The link is definitely fine - if you copy it, it gets you here, but if you just click on it you get the same 'too long' thing.

Chris is going to upgrade the forum software to the very latest, although we may lose some of the little extras I've added on, most of them I can replace given a week or so.

It turned out to be a file in the root directory of the forum, now removed.
