Equipment: Nothing but my notebook which is one of the most important parts of birding. To go out without it (which I only ever did once) is like going out without your pants on. I've never understood why I responded to the 'Cameras and Equipment' question in this way because in reality I own a Leica Telescope with eyepieces, Zeiss Binoculars, and a Manfrotto Tripod all of which cost a positive fortune.

Default Red Deer

Had a day at Leighton Moss today. This is one of a couple of images I achieved of a doe Red Deer which was about 200 mtrs rom the hide.

Had two days on a trot (don't hear that one very often these days do you?) at Leighton Moss because a Hobby has been giving extremely good views, a chance not to be missed and something of a rarity up here in the North where the Hobby is at its breeding limit. Though they are here they are definitely not an easy bird to find.

Pete.
