Flowers or orchids?

Captured these today. I'm sure they are ornamental but what are they Please ?

I think they have a look of an Iris

I wondered but they would have to be miniatures if they are . These are about 8 inches high

Spoke to the oracle, she reckoned that they were some sort of cultivated Crocus, but she hasn't seen one before.

Oh right . Thank you. I thought Crocus as soon as I saw them but on closer inspection I thought Iris and then thought they are too small then though not exotic enough to be orchids.
