There was a chiffchaff chiffchaffing but this one has pale legs so it can't be a Chiffchaff. It was very high up and sunny

Looks more like a Linnet Beryl, but practically impossible to tell.

No don't think so Beryl, the beak is far too chunky for a warbler.
