    Default Longhorn Beetle of some sort

    This was quite big, nearly 3cm in length, quite impressive to see it flying around. Taken at Moor Copse on Sunday.

    Doubt it, as this is a large beetle, in excess of 25mm long.

    That's a difficult one - I could suggest a couple but apparently the cerambycid family (which this is likely to be) can have significant colour variations making it difficult to pin it down

    Shapewise it looks like Stenocorus meridianus which goes up to 27mm. The colour is often different from this, but there are shots that look like this too - www.galerie-insecte.org- as I said, they can apparently vary greatly. I think this is one of those "who-knows" types
