I loved this shot showing him gripping the stem. Not the clearest, but I couldn't get any closer.

Nice one Louise, I took the liberty of running the second one through Noise Ninja, it loses some of the high ISO grain.

Not sure about your self criticism 'not the clearest' Louise......looks good enough for my critical eye, though Rolfs 'Noise' is a good 'fixer'.

Goodness - the 'noise ninja' really does clean it up, doesn't it? I've increased the size at which I take photos and I've found that that really helps in being able to crop in close... but I'm still stuck with the integral macro. Can't complain though, it's a good camera.

There are loads of these little suckers around my garden, although since they are so small it's often hard to spot them.

I've never understood why I responded to the 'Cameras and Equipment' question in this way because in reality I own a Leica Telescope with eyepieces, Zeiss Binoculars, and a Manfrotto Tripod all of which cost a positive fortune.
