Default it's a bit nippy!!

these were taken this morning whilst out for a walk on my local patch.
it was a bit nippy out but a gloriously sunny, frosty morning.
it turned out to be a decent walk. i saw a mixed flock of nuthatch, great tit, blue tit, goldcrest, chaffinch and treecreeper all fly into one small tree. they were all giving alarm calls and seemed to be all looking towards the base of the tree. i was to busy trying to get a shot of any of the birds, that i did'nt take much notice of what they were all alarmed at. anyway i could'nt get a decent shot as the birds were flitting around too much. i gave up and gazed down. to my surprise i looked down to see a stoat staring back at me!!. it was on it's hind legs and it had clocked me. it disappeared in a second. i had missed yet another photo opportunity. but what a sight anyway. i certainly did'nt expext to see anything like that.
these icy leaves were taken on my way back

Nice photos Andy.

The problem with animals, is that they don't work to a schedule and always turn up when you least expect them.
