Default What sort of watch do you wear?

I know, it has nothing to do with Birds.

Only reason I ask, is that I had to buy a new one today, as the strap on my old one had broken and it is part of the watch, the bezel had also popped out some time ago.

I use a digital waterproof watch with face protection as I work outside and the watch can get scraped on occasions. This one is a Casio G-Shock, with lots of functions I will probably never use. The ones I will use are multiple time zones and perhaps the alarm, it also has the facility to save 30 phone numbers.

I used to have a few watches, but I'm down to two now, with my non-work watch being a nice little Longines.

I wonder if old unused watches are recyclable like cellphones. If not they should be. What do you think?
Mine are Sports watches. Being a swimming teacher is was essential to have a waterproof watch in case I needed to dive into the pool to help a struggling student. I now am out in all weathers watching nature so still need a waterproof
watch here are three of mine I do of course have watches for all ocasions being a lady
The first is an Adidas coola/clime sports, the second is an elegant type and the third is a Casio sports

Mine is an Accurist silver coloured, (will post a pic at the weekend) I bought it for £17 a few years ago and I wouldn't part with it for the world. I have a gold one, but a few years I stopped wearing gold and started wearing silver for a change

Look forward to seeing it Babs, they aren't the most important thing in the world, but then again, most people have them. The unsung heroes of punctuality.

Yes. I don't think price always matters either Most of the time () it's the name you are paying for

I couldn't do that, I also would feel lost without it.

I have often known people who don't wear watches, they say they don't need them and don't want to be a slave to time, yet strangely enough, they are forever asking me what the time is.

I need my watch with me all the time but not necessarily on my wrist
I don't look at being a slave to time . I need to know the time at all times.
See you cannot get away from time or the word time, it's there all the time and doesn't stop or wait.
I think a watch is one of the greatest inventions. I have a clock in my kitchen that is completely in reverse but it still tells the right time
