Just for a few days to Cornwall, did lots of walking and eating
![]() and no drinking, oooh detox heaven. Anyhow we went twice to a little fishing village called Fowey that has a quaint feel about it lots of narrow streets and odd shaped buildings. Got friendly with one of the locals, but 18 inches was about as close as I dared to go. ![]() |

They can be a little aggressive at times, I can recall about 20 years ago my niece and her mum were visiting from the middle east and we took them to Blackpool and we shared a bag of chips on the pier needless to say we were suddenly attacked by herring gulls who were stealing the chips and one of them grabbed my forefinger thinking it was a chip, ouch that hurt.

It is probably a good job as well! Also on the same trip last weekend in Cornwall went to the Eden project and in one of the domes there was a family of robins and they had red breasts and what is puzzling me is I did not think they were songbirds and yet I recorded on of then up in the top of the dome
Oh sugar it is above the upload limits, Ill have to see if I can snip it and post it later |

as rolf says, topper, robins are prolific songbirds. what may surprise you even more, is that, many robins can be heard singing during the hours of darkness. manmade street lighting, often fools the robins, into thinking that it is daylight and so start singing away.
