I have just realised I registered on this forum 11 months ago and never did make my first post.

So to start 2008 I would like to take this opportunity to say hello to everyone, I have to confess whilst I do like nature generally I am neither much of a photographer nor much of a bird watcher.

However since getting my own digital camera a Samsung Digmax A50 I have enjoyed the freedom it gives to snap and experiment to my hearts desire, with no cost to my pocket. The thing that attracted me to the camera was firstly it was cheap and secondly has a larger than view normal viewing screen, also the ability to take 1GB SD cards has opened up small video production of 40 minutes each card (less on the highest resolution). I have taken some shots of birds (the feathered kind) so when I get my act together I will post them.

Hi Topper.

We also have sections for video clips and non-wildlife photos, so I'm sure you'll have plenty to post.

I just realised I'll have to sort my photos out now into some kind of sensible structured and indexed database otherwise I'll spend all my looking for stuff on my PC
