Black Swan's nesting And close up of this lovely birs.It is considerbly smaller than the white swans. It is completely black but for it's flight feathers which are white and can be seen when the swan is in flight

The black swans of Dawlish were introduced to the town from New Zealand by John Nash, a Dawlish-borne man who emigrated during adulthood but paid frequent visits to the town. The swan has been the town emblem for over forty years.

They are lovely, aren't they? We've got some around here... although they are more of the 'beer-filled, bricks and mortar sort'

Lol. There are a few dotted about the country . People have introduced them but the RSPB will not recognize them.
Yes they are lovely.
