This moth is considered to be the largest moth in the world. It comes from the tropics of Southeast Asia and China
Her it is resting on my hand

was this taken at the otter sanctuary also, chocky.? if it was we visited here on holiday in the late eighties. it was an extremely hot summer. the butterflies kept landing on us and seemed to be tasteing the sun cream on or shoulders.

the one on you hand is a beaut

Yest in the Butterfly Far and Otter sanctuary. Lovely place bit not a reserve.
I think I have field thread where this Moth is uploaded too. Yes I have a few butterflies from there. I just thought this moth was fascinating
