.. at least, that's what I think it is, although the photos I've found haven't been exactly the same and all seem to belong in the US. Having said that, what else could it be called?

There was only this single one and it landed just long enough for m eto snap it and then it left. I was lucky to have the camera on at the time as it didn't stay for long.

This was seen in the northern half of France.
