This poor little battle-scarred white butterfly was caught in the fields which are patrolled by the swifts in a french field... he seemed to be able to fly perfectly well as I saw him have one of those little dances with another one.
I reckon it must be a cat-butterfly, i.e. he has 9 lives!! |

It's a Green Veined White
Battered or not it's a good capture. You can see it's eyes and antennae quite clearly and that is good point. IMO Well done. ![]() When they dance with each other they are actually fighting. The chaps on Nature's Calender were telling us all about the dancing being quite ferocious fighting. |
