Battered, but a survivor

This poor little battle-scarred white butterfly was caught in the fields which are patrolled by the swifts in a french field... he seemed to be able to fly perfectly well as I saw him have one of those little dances with another one.

I reckon it must be a cat-butterfly, i.e. he has 9 lives!!

Battered or not it's a good capture. You can see it's eyes and antennae quite clearly and that is good point. IMO
Well done.

When they dance with each other they are actually fighting. The chaps on Nature's Calender were telling us all about the dancing being quite ferocious fighting.

Yep - they do go at it... and this one appeared to win, i.e the other one went away.... although it probbaly tired this one out!

I have to wonder what they fight with. Maybe they have sticky feet that tare each other's wings or some thing.
Lol maybe they slurp each other with their long tongues. ugh
