Some recent visitors
We've seen quite a few Damselflies - all Large Reds so far. No Dragonflies yet...
After a spate of Brimstone Butterflies in April, many small blue Butterflies have flitted through, but recent callers have been mainly Large Whites.
We've had ever so many Bumblebees however, and this one is possibly a Bombus Pratorum... I think!

Lovely shots Catherine, the Bee one in particular is a cracker.:) I really need to get out and start snapping, got a bit of time today, but looks like rain.

Lots of Damselflies? I've only seen one in the garden so far. and just one orange tip, a couple of small blues flying over and one other white butterfly.... but a shedload of bumblies, so it sounds like it's a good year for the bees - whoo-hoo !!! Nice shots, BTW.

I must have been one of the few who have yet to see an Orange Tip this year. :(
Several dark, unidentified Butterflies have flown though - possibly Speckled Woods - but they didn't stop, so I could not be sure.
Have only seen one Peacock and one Red Admiral - no Tortoiseshells of any size. I'm wondering if the drought is having an effect on them?

Good point, Catherine. I spotted a Comma briefly yesterday, but it's been really poor for butterflies. I'm just hoping that the later flyers have a better time of it.
