Christmas visitor
I've never seen a Wagtail in our garden before, so it was a real delight to see one, particularly has it came right up to the French windows, only a couple of feet away.:)
Picture taken at twilight, ISO 1600, through the double glazing, the food is Mum's flakey pastry mix.:)

Pretty little bird - but what was wrong with your Mum's pastry mix and which made you chuck it out?:-hoho
-
LOL, nothing wrong Catherine, but you have to share the trimmings with nature once the mince pies are made.;)
-
I bet you didn't leave any crumbs for them from the ones you ate though!:-snowball
-
Haven't eaten any yet, they're all in the freezer and don't come out until Christmas Eve.:)
-
I admire your will power (if that's true!):-hoho
-
Nothing to do with will power, it's how it is.:) Most go into the freezer uncooked.:) But if it was left to me, they would be cooked and not safe.:D

Here's an update photo, he obviously likes the food supply in the garden.:) Plus another infrequent visitor showed his head above the parapet.:)
-
Ooh, that's a nice clear shot. Lovely.

Rolf, I'm deadly jealous of you having a Blackcap, but have to admit that the Wagtail pic is the 'star of the week' for me!:-cthumb
(BTW, is that a PIED or WHITE Wagtail?
The ones at Tesco yesterday were darker on the back and therefore certainly the 'Pied' type, but your little one is SO much lighter on there! )
-
Think it's a first winter male pied Catherine, really pleased to have both him and the Blackcap.:)
