Should have shown the stream!:D
It is fast-flowing and obviously has little fish in it!
Excellent, well done Catherine.:)
Thanks, Rolf! Will be looking out for it again!
So far this winter I've had a Fieldfare and a Great Spotted Woodpecker in the front garden and a Little Egret just yards away!
Really pleased about that!:)
Excellent captures Catharine.
Little Egrets can be very amusing. We have them in colonies on the estuary
Thanks, Beryl! :).
We used to see them when we stayed in New Milton - at Keyhaven and Stanpit in particular, but this little guy is the first I've seen since I left Hampshire - and he's just yards from my front door!:D
This view shows how close to us the Little Egret is. The yellow cross is home and the blue streaks show his fishing area. I took the pics when he was in the lower area on the right.
How lucky am I?:D
(There are Green Woodpeckers in that area too, I have heard them, but still to see one! Mallards frequent the area as well, and I am sure there will be many smaller birds in the shrubs and trees around there!)
