Lovely shot - how long was he still for?

Ooh, nice. I've got loads in my garden but haven't managed t get one so clearly because they are jumpy little beggars. I suppose the clue is in the name :)

He was still for about 30 secs. long enough to kneel down and get focussed. This was with the new macro lens with a close up filter attached. The combination is great for close shots but rubbish if the subject is more than 2 ft away.

I find that even if they don't jump, if I get down to them they twist to hide behind the grass, always moving to match any move I make.
