Embarrassed squirrel
Now here is a little chap reaching out for a plant whilst hanging from a tree trunk.
I thought to my self “typical male, showing off. He is going to end up with egg on his face”
I was right.
In the first picture he’s reaching for the plant. Next he slips. Next he grabs the tree trunk next door with one of his legs and falls flat on his face. Finally pushes himself up.

I suspect that this squirrel wasn't one of the ones that the TV used when filming the 'Mission Impossible' sequence to show how clever squirrels were:-doh
In the centre of town is a small churchyard with what is supposed to be a dead Indian Bean Tree (because of the beautifully twisted trunk they decided to leave the trunk to disintegrate in its own time... to everyones surprise, chopping it so drastically has made it sprout all over!!! anyway, I digress). The middle of is was burned out and there is an exit at the bottom. I use that term advisedly because as I was studying it I noticed a pair or tiny and delicate hands (feet) poking out. They soon pulled back, but I so wish that I had had a camera with me as it could have been a lovely picture as I'm sure that the squirrel would have come out sooner or later as they are used to people, it's a busy walk-through. I really need to get a little portable thing to keep in my bag!
