Photo Gallery
Who runs and moderates the photo gallery . I have just re-found it you seam to be the largest poster Rolf.
I don't know if my pcs ar up to the gallery I'm tooooooooooooo used to regections.
But I was just woondering because it states one needs to register so it must be a sepreate section sort of thing
-
Chocky, which photo gallery do you mean, do you mean the thread where we post our pics:conf40: :)
-
No. The one on this site . It has a gallery on another page . There are a huge number of Photos mosly Rolfs. I am really wondering why we need to register if it belongs to this site and what the srtandard for photos is.
-
Oh right, yes I have visited the site myself and there are some impressive photos on there. It could possibly be that rolf (spelt it right this time):-rofl has linked that site to his. But I'm sure rolf will put us in the picture when he can:)
-
Sorry, was doing my tax return, yes, the late one. :-lmao
Just register on there and I'll enable you to post, it is not linked database wise to this site, as I've been running it for a couple of years or so now. :) If you want sections added or changed I can do that easily. It started off as just a family site and there are a huge number of family pictures which are only available and probably only of interest anyway to family, but the public sections get a good steady flow of views. :)
-
PS. I can even subdivide the sections into families or general types of birds for easy browsing. :)
-
Oh. I see. Thakn you for putting us in the oicture.
I think quite a lot of peeps run these photo gslleries for their own families . Rather nice.
I was only wondering. I quite like this forum really, where one can make friends and chat and coment on each others pics.
I'm just the curiou one. That's me, have to know the ins and outs of every thing
-
PS. Wow. I thought I was brainy. think I'll just look for now. But thank you :)
-
You are more than welcome to put any pictures in there Chocky, I could start up a section for in and around Exmouth, gives you a lot ot scope, similarly for Babs. :)
-
OK. Do I need to brush up on my HEIROGLYPHICS to get a registration. took 4 atempts to register on this sit and 7 on You Tube
-
I can't remember, if you have a problem PM me. :)
-
-
Thanks for putting us in the picture rolf, I would certainly like to register with your other site. I am off to Cornwall for the weekend so I will register after that
-
OK. I am registered. Now what do I do next.
I think I will brows arround and find my way.
Babs get registering. Like now or I will be lonely lol
-
Once you are in a catagory, just click on the upload photos link top right hand corner and it will allow you to browse your PC, then click on upload/submit and it will upload the photo for your approval and text editing. :)
You can also bulk upload using ftp, but I'll need to setup an ftp account for you.
-
Don't get complicated on me. I'll stick to single uploads for now.
I need to get some fresh photos I don't want to upload second hand ones and all the birds are hiding from me.
At the moment we are having a great deal of rain. It.'s blowing a hooly out side.
P.S. Doesn't a moderator have to aprove them first in case they don't reach a good standard?
-
Not at the moment Chocky, as up until now there was only me and a couple of family members posting. :)
I'm not overly concerned about perfection, they just need to be interesting, I have found that a couple of forums have been so picky on submissions, wording etc, that many members have given up trying to get something accepted.
PS. I've yet to see one of your photos anyway which wouldn't make the grade. :)
-
Oh . That's good. I have had somay rejections you wouldn't believe it. Not all of myphotos are graet. I am really pleased with that orange tip though even if I do say so myself I think it is good and I rather like taking snaps of birds in flight, I have a few. I think I uploaded a buzzard. I have a nice one some where and little egrets and a heron in our local park. But then being old , decrepit and retired I have the time. Lol
-
It would be nice on the Wellankamp gallery to have a section (or such like) for Birds in Flight and one for Insects/Butterflies /etc. I take o lot of butterlies and bees face on. I just find it more interesting then the regular side shots. I have a super close up some where of a dragon fly it was publshed in the local rag as. 'Beryl Ladd comse face to face with a Dragonfly In the Park' What do you think. Oh BTW where is Wellenkamp ?
-
Not where is, who is. :)
I'll sort out the sections. :)
-
Who is what? Wellenkamp. Oh it must be ,is that you? lol
Sorry.
Thanks. I don't ask for my=uch do I? :4-bounce:
-
Yes, it's the family name. :)
-
Right. Quite a nice name.
I get the corny " Are you relatred to Alan Ladd " when I am asked for my name.
I usually lie. Lol. All eyebrows rase
