Theres been a lot of debate on this one - looked slightly smaller than black bird, the song was much different, and moved totally different to what i expect of a blackbird... so im confused i feel its ouzel but i might be wrong..

Difficult to say Billy, not enough detail in the picture, although there seems to be a light patch on the breast.

I'm sure it is a Blackbird, Laura. It looks quite like the one here too!
Some females have a lighter patch under the lower bill. The colouring of females varies somewhat.
The Ring Ouzel has a much more pronounced and unmistakable white 'bib'.
It looks very much as if your bird is nesting amongst the Holly, Ivy and old tree branches too. She has quite a lot of yellow on her bill - a sign of her being a mature bird.
its so hard id'ing things till you have seen the real thing... thank you... i enjoyed my day might go out hunting to find a real one!!
