An exclusive YouGov opinion poll commissioned by Greenpeace and the RSPB in the run up to the budget looking at people's attitudes to countryside protection has found that only 4% of British public feel that laws safeguarding Britain's wildlife and countryside are too strong. In contrast, a majority of respondents 40% felt they were too weak, whilst another 37% think the current rules are about right.
