Was hoping to pop down into Reading and take a picture of the Kestrel living opposite the station today, but may have to give it a miss. The rain is torrential and has not stopped since before eight this morning.
Doesn't bode well for the people in the flood prone areas either, as I believe that there could be as much as four inches falling today.
I've still got to go out later, but hopefully all jobs will be inside. :)

I suppose those recent dry-ish days were summer then? :) I can't believe how much fell overnight/this am. I left an empty bucket outside yesterday, and it seemed to be a few inches high earlier. I will measure it properly later. I needed to get some herbs from the garden... I had to use a brolly and run just to spend a few seconds... and I still got rather wet!!! As well as that, the rain and wind is blowing off my plums. I only cleared the driveway yesterday pm, and I tried to pick any that would come off easily... and it's completely covered again!!!

Thew last three nights have had constant rain all night, stopping by about 7.30 and the rest of the day fine but for today just arrived home before it stated.
Can't imagine what it must be like to try and stop yourself sliding around on a wet foof.

The gardening message board I use has just gone down due to the fact that Maidenhead has been flooded and that's where they keep their server. I like the way that it has been raining overnight recently - just the way it should be :)

Yes. It should rain all night and shine all day.
Nature slipped up there

Just driven over to Streatley and back, the roads are flooded pretty much all of the way, below is a picture of a side road off of Hildens Drive in Tilehurst, I feel sorry for the owners of the two parked cars, but the kids were making the most of it. :)
PS. Sent this in to Sky News and they used it just now. :)
I'm nearly as famous as Chocky now. ;)

No, the videos weren't extreme enough. :)
I've just ordered a table clamp with ball head so that I can secure the camera, rather than have it hanging around my neck in the van. :) So you can look forward to more driving videos. ;)

I wondered what the camera was tied to.
Oh no . Your not a road rage driver are you? Lol
You should drive in Naples fights break out all the time there. it's really funny (and scary)
P.S. Don't clamp the camera to the steering wheel , we might get sea sick watching the video .:-lmao

Excellent photo and videos, we had a beautiful day here yesterday and a few specs of rain in the evening and today it did not rain till this afternooon and it is dry out there at the moment.
It must be awful for those people with flood damaged homes:(

LOL, it's only one of my upper lips. :) I have a spare set borrowd off of Mick Jagger. :-lmao
Whilst there is a bit of localised flooding, do't think the damage is anywhere near on the same scale of the other areas a couple of weeks back.

Ok - I've just gone out to measure the rainfall... I got a little over 3 inches last night to lunchtime today. I'm off for a couple of weeks on Sunday to France (yes, I'm taking my camera), and wanted to give the garden a good soak before I left so that my Mum doesn't have to do much to do looking after it. That saved me a job :)

Yes I would think so
Hope it stops raining for your trip
