I climbed up a steep bank :-manylol and got my feet all tangled in brambles and the nettles were up to waist and I was thinking got to get nearer and I thought I'll worry about how I'm going to climb down when I get the perfect shot.
I got down in one piece ( luckily no one about). What a carry on:-rolling
Well worth the effort Beryl, in particular showing the fine pattern of the under-wing which I've never witnessed in real life......nice one!

Here's one I captured this morning, unfortunately he stayed with wings open pretty much all of the time. :)

People say I am lucky too get a shot with the wings open so you have done well there Rolf. They do usually close them.
