Wasp-waisted

I love the shape of a wasp (even if I try to avoid them!), so took this against the window and then darkened it even more to really show the shape.

Yes, they are quite amazing, such a tiny link between the two parts of the body. Picture works well in silhouette. :)

Unbelievable isn't it? I have often wondered why they are that shape :)
