This landed on the top af a very very high tree and I had to be quick . It's about the size of a black bird but rather different to any I have seen. Also seams to have red on the under beak. I's not a good photo but the colours ae exactly as I saw them

Yes. It was hundreds of mils up the tree .I'll just redus the size of the frame and put it in the mods room.
A bit put off by your saying it was about the size of a Blackbird Beryl. Its not all that bad an image but the best I can come up with at the moment from what I see in the pic is......Spotted Flycatcher, but if it really was about the size of a Blackbird then it certainly isn't one of those.

That was my first thought but I have never seen one , only in a book so I don't know . I only know it was bigger than a chiffchaff because when it landed on the branch I though oh that's a big chiffchaff and it was so high up
If I don't come back on this Beryl you can take it from me its a Spotted Flycatcher but it would be nice to see some other opinions.

Well I looked for a similar bird in my book and thought 'The Spotted flycatcher1 was the nearest .........But I didn't want to say because other peeps might see it how I saw it and think the same when it might be some thing else ....if you catch my drift

Just looked at the DVD-ROM guide and it certainly looks like it could be the spotted Flycatcher, the wing markings would certainly match.
Yep. I think it is :) but it's not really good enough to put in the gallery. I will know now when next I see one

The red under beak could be a trick of the light even though there was no sun. No down where I was standing
