This morning's early visitor looked very hungry - although he was dripping wet, so must have just finished breakfast!:)
He was looking towards a garden pond behind the house on the left of the pic.
However, I just have a feeling that he'd sampled the pond's contents already!:rolleyes:
Great shots Catherine, love it when things appear where they would not normally be seen.:) One thinks nothing of seeing a Heron down by the river or estuary, but the neighbour's roof is another thing altogether.:)
ROFL - they look so unreal at the best of times, but up on the roof like that looks really silly :)
He was funny to look at, but the 'pond lady' told me that he'd taken all her fish......:(
So, feeling guilty I'd taken his pic then, I had to offer a few of our Goldfish and some spare pond net.:13:

Yes, I believe that's the problem with ponds - a free takeaway for Herons. But thanks for that Goldfish clip - I've never known what fish do for courting "'Ere, darling **nudge, nudge** Wanna get busy?" :)
