You did well to photograph it then! What a lovely bird!
I have only seen one before, from a bus, going over the Doon near Burns' Cottage in Alloway. It was also at the top of a tree, though I neither heard a song nor had a camera - so you beat me by a mile there!:)
Now you know it's in the area..... ;)
