Popped out to take a few photos on Saturday

Finished work mid afternoon and as it was still light, I had a stroll through the woods and out onto the meadow at the top of Sulham hill.

Didn't get many photos and the one which would have been a cracker had I have managed to get close enough was of a Great-spotted Woodpecker and Fieldfare at the top of a tree, unfortunately a Green Woodpecker decided that at 100 yards away I was too close and flew off in a panic, flushing the two target.

So all I managed was a couple of photos of a very obliging Dunnock and a long distance shot of the GSW and Fieldfare.:)

Would have been even better had the Green Woodpecker stayed to pose as well of course.... :)

It's so annoying when that happens - Wood Pigeons are TERRIBLE at doing that - touchy little beggars..... ;)

Yes, you can almost hear them screaming "we're all gonna die!" as they fly off.:)
