What would be your choice?

If you could have the choice of photographing any British wild bird which you have not had the chance to photograph yet, which one would you choose.


I think I would choose the kingfisher, I have only ever seen a fleeting glimpse of one. :) I would love to capture a near decent picture of one......and one with a catch would be an added bonus:)

I'd certainly agree on the Kingfisher Bab's, the last time I saw one was probably 15 years ago and would love to capture one now. :)

I would also love to get some captures of Little Owls, they intrigue me. :)

I would love to capture a wild owl.

I captured this one at Paignton Zoo. It's a trained owl. I think I have a video of it performing

Being a novice anything different would be nice but yes for me too the Kingfisher.Only every caught a fleeting glimpse of one, many years ago

You can capture the Kingfisher if you know where one hangs out and fishes. they do have regular landing spots but you need a great deal of spare time. :)

good question babs. i've thought about this but can't come up with one particular bird really. i take nearly all my shots through a telescope , so i would probably say a small bird that flits about alot , would be my ideal shot. it's very difficult ( no, nigh on impossible) to get a decent shot, this way, when the subject is constantly moving. perhaps a goldcrest maybe?
the other bird i would love to get a really good pic of would be a puffin. ihave taken shots of them before, but from distance and end result was poor.
so i would say, if managed to get a very good picture of anything i would be more than happy!! :)
