Wasn't sure whether it was a Kestrel until I got back and processed the photos, but the top wing views would make this a Female.:)
It was amazing to watch the three or four birds, they were hanging static in the air, taking advantage of the coastal winds, at first sight looking as if they were perched above the cliff top.:)

Didn't see it catch anything at the time Catherine, just a shame I didn't have the big lens with me, as they were hanging relatively still in the air.
