Another Hoverfly?

This photo is interesting as he's having a suck at the grass flowers. I thought that this as a hoverfly, but as they eat greenfly etc, not pollen, I am unsure. It doesn't help that it's a side view!

D'Oh!! of course, it's their LARVAE that eat the greenfly.... and I call myself a gardener :)

I thought all flies vomited on their prey (food) to dissolve it so they can then consume it. But I don't know for sure
