A lovely set - it's always nice to see a family group reacting to each other. I've not seen the young 'uns before and was quite surprised - aren't they unusual? Zebra-ducks :)

Commonly known as humbugs (old fashioned black and white stripy sweet)

Do you think it may be Nature's way of putting off predators?

If that's the case, I wonder what they are meant to mimic?

If you look at the heads against the 'wavy' water they do sort of blend in.. so maybe that's it.
