Was in the hide at Lavell's lake this afternoon, but hadn't taken my binoculars and despite all of the help from two other watchers, I could not spot the Snipe on the far side of the lake.
Well I took a photo anyway.:) See if you can spot him in the first picture.:)
Found him in the second pic straight away but not in the first. Well Spotted Rolf :)
I didn't spot him, took the picture of where they said he was and only picked him out when I uploaded the photos to the computer.:) I did see him when he flew off though.:-rofl
He's a about a third of the way along tong the grass in the first pic :)
Yes, the second picture is a cropped and enlarged section of the first photo.:)
just goes to show, there could be allsorts of wonderful stuff in front of us and we may never see it.
Must take my binoculars with me next time, I'm reluctant to leave them in the van though and when I'm leaving the house in the morning, it can be a little tedious taking out the drill box, two meters, camera and big lens, the Camera bag and then the binoculars.:)
You need a big trolley bag and wheel all your stuff to the van Rolf :-rolling
LOL, from the door to the van is only five metres, it is the rest of the carrying.;)
