    Default Hello from Lancaster

    Hi Everyone

Iv'e just stumbled on your website as we often do during our quiet periods surfing the net and generally relaxing. As a passionate 'birder' for around 20 years I thought I may find something of interest here so iv'e registered. Time will tell and we will see how it goes. Meanwhile I have a reply ready for one of your contributors when I'm allowed access.

By the way....under 'Cameras and Equipment' iv'e entered 'nothing but my notebook....' which is utter nonsense. I saw the word 'Camera' and obviously ignored 'Equipment' and replied from there. However, I do of course have an excellent telescope/eyepieces/tripod/binoculars all of which required a second mortgage on the principal....if you are going to do it then do it right!

    Happy Birding

    Pete.

Just a quick thanks to Rolf, Chocky, Blue Jay, and andy b for offering me your welomes. Playing it all by ear for the moment, will see how things go. Meanwhile I may have a go at posting one of a 'few' images I don't mind going public with. Also andy b has mentioned a paper I did on an incredible close encounter I once had a few years ago now but I need some time to write it up so don't hold your breath.
