A cold and mostly damp and misty visit, but still with some photo opportunities.
The first is a view from the roof of the house, was replacing a tile and spotted a nice view.
This is an excellent area for Mistletoe, I've never seen so much.![]()
Certainly no shortage of these two, as the neighbour's orchard was left unharvested and provided a huge banquet for the birds.![]()
They looked like rocks on the ploughed field, but I noticed them moving.![]()
. . . . and managed to get a few pictures.![]()
The two Yorkies tried on their new winter coats, I found a dried Hawk Moth and a large Fungus, an interesting shot of a growing animal feed crop.![]()
The cat had decided that the bird table afforded an excellent view into the kitchen, I discovered a plentiful supply of wild currants (although Anna said she wouldn't use them) and the paddock was invaded by a very active Mole or Moles.
I could never get close enough to the huge flocks of Lapwing, so had to satisfy myself with a couple of long distance shots.
Very nice Rolf. Some of those birds I have never seen.
Waiting avidly for posts 2 and 3
We have had miserable weather every were really.
Well you have had some fun haven't you rolf, an excellent variety of images. I must say I absoluetly love your 4th kestral image, have you had a go at cropping it to get a closer view or would you loose what you have already got.![]()

@ Babs, that is pretty much as big as it will go without losing detail, unfortunately they move pretty quickly, so a long lens is impossible to use on them in flight.![]()
